Those parents in the White House can’t be happy about this.
A selfie showing first daughter Malia Obama adjusting her hair while wearing the T-shirt of a hip-hop collective founded by a guy named Joey Bada$$ is one of the rare images of the Obama daughters going public without the White House’s permission.
And Bada$$’s recent arrest for assaulting a security guard by punching him in the nose isn’t helping.
According to the Daily Caller, the picture of Malia made its way to the Pro Era hip-hop collective through a mutual friend of the teenager and the musicians, who saw it as an opportunity not to be wasted.
It promptly posted the photo on Instagram with the text: “Malia Obama rocking that classic Pro Era tee! | Make sure you get your official Pro Era gear from theproera.com!”
So the Obamas have a new problem here in a couple ways.
Since they entered the White House, they’ve been very protective of the two first daughters so the unauthorized publication of Malia in a private moment like this has to be a security concern.
Add to that the publicity of Joey Bada$$ getting arrested Friday night for attacking a security guard who asked to see his ID at a show in Australia and it’s not good PR – at all.
Worst of all, Joey Bada$$ is 19 – only three years older than Malia. And obviously, he’s caught her eye.
Nope, the parents in the White House can’t be happy about that T-shirt – at all
